FAQs – Learn about SYLVANIA SMART+ Connected Lighting Solutions

SYLVANIA LIGHTIFY products have been rebranded as SYLVANIA SMART+. These lights, fixtures, and accessories will look and function similar to LIGHTIFY devices and will continue to work with existing partners. The SMART+ line also includes our new Bluetooth smart lighting products compatible with Apple HomeKit™, Amazon Alexa, and the Google Assistant™.

The SYLVANIA SMART+ line includes both Bluetooth and ZigBee products. To learn more about which products fit your needs and which work with your particular systems, check out our Getting Started guide.

Our SYLVANIA SMART+ ZigBee lights will pair directly to your compatible smart home hub. The OSRAM LIGHTIFY hub is not required when using a different compatible hub. SYLVANIA SMART+ Bluetooth lights and accessories do not require the use of a hub to operate.

We offer a two year warranty on our SYLVANIA SMART+ products. Please contact us at 1-800-LIGHTBULB or smart@ledvance.com so we can replace your product accordingly.

Our indoor SMART+ lighting products are damp rated. They can be used indoors in damp locations such as bathrooms but must be protected from direct contact from rain. We also offer several outdoor, wet-rated products that can be used outdoors all year long.

SYLVANIA SMART+ products are dimmable via your compatible smart home app. They should not be used with in-wall dimming switches as these switches physically cut power to the lights and will cause them to flicker and malfunction.
